Gar Chan is a product of Los Angeles, graduated as a biology major in 1976 from the University of California, Irvine, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco in 1980, and began private practice in 1981. Dr. Chan has extensive advanced training and experience in all areas of family dentistry including: cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals) , prosthodontics (replacement of lost natural teeth with fixed or removable teeth), oral surgery (extractions, bone grafts, implants, biopsies, removal of oral cysts, tumors), children’s dentistry, orthodontics (braces), and implant crown restorations. Routinely he takes over twice the number of continuing education units required for license renewal and actively participates in several study clubs.

What makes your practice special when compared with others in the area?

Our bilingual practice specializes in the art and science of dentistry for patients from 12 months of age to seniors, including implants, porcelain veneers, whitening, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures and repairs, clear aligner and traditional orthodontics, general and preventive care, TMJ disorders, deep cleanings, root canals, tooth colored fillings, biopsies, extractions, children's dentistry, digital x-rays and nitrous oxide sedation (laughing gas).
