Sunil Vick Soordhar, B.Sc., DMD, FAACP ◾FAACP – Fellow with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain ◾Fellowship from the Oral Surgery Academy of General Dentists Dr. Vick Soordhar graduated from the Temple University, School of Dentistry in 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since graduation he has complete over 1150 hours of continuing education in various areas of dentistry: ◾Oral surgery (wisdom teeth extractions, biopsies, bone grafting and membrane placement) ◾Implant dentistry (surgical placement and restorations) ◾Sleep dentistry using Ntirous Oxide/Laughing Gas, Oral Sedation and IV sedation ◾Periodontal surgeries (gum shrinks, gum grafting) ◾Endodontics (root canals) ◾Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) ◾Craniofacial pain and headaches therapy ◾Clenching, grinding and bruxism ◾Sleep disorder breathing/sleep apnea ◾Orthopedic and Orthodontic Treatment for children, teenagers and adults ◾A.L.F. Treatment (Advanced Lightwire Functional Appliance) He has completed a Residency program in TMD and Craniofacial pain through the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and obtained his fellowship in 2013. In 2011, he completed a residency program for Implantology and IV Sedation with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has completed extensive studies in the areas of Orthopeadic, Orthodontic and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Craniofacial (TMJ, head and neck) pain and Implantology (surgery and restoration). He obtained his: ◾Fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (only 25 dentist in Canada) ◾Fellowship from the Oral Surgery Academy for General Dentists He is currently a member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), Mid-Florida Implant Study Club and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP). Dr. Soordhar believes in comprehensive dental treatment, but emphasizes education. He believes in presenting knowledge to patients to enable them to have the confidence in making their own decisions and therefore contributing to their treatment plan.
