Dr. Mark Cohen

Dr. Cohen joined the Dawson Dental team in August 2012. In addition to his years of experience he brought his established family practice to Dawson Scarborough, along with his long serving dental team. Dr. Cohen graduated from McGill University with both a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. During his years of dentistry at McGill, Dr. Cohen was active in promoting dental health to the public, lecturing at schools in Montreal, and appearing at career night talks promoting dentistry as a career to graduating high school students. Following graduation from dental school, Dr Cohen did a postgraduate rotating Dental Internship at Toronto General Hospital, during which time he was exposed to a tremendously varied dental experience. During that time Dr Cohen served as a demonstrator at the University of Toronto Shout Clinic, a clinic providing dental services by dental students under supervision of licensed dentists. After completing his internship Dr Cohen was in private practice, in which he provided cosmetic, restorative, implant services to his patients. For the last several years Dr Cohen has been using computer technology to scan the mouth to take digital “impressions” for crowns bridges, veneers and implants. Dr. Cohen has lectured many dentists in Toronto, about this digital scanning technology. Apart from dentistry, Dr Cohen has been active in public education, having served as Co Chair and Chair of Parent Councils. Dr Cohen has five boys and enjoys time with his family. Dr Cohen is a private pilot holding both Canadian and American airman certificates.

I believe in good communication and informing before performing I try to present all options and give patients the time to think about and decide on treatment.
